About the clinic
The clinic was set up in 1999 by Andrew “Fred” Robinson, an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery, who publishes internationally and presents at national and international meetings.
The clinic is based at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and the Cambridge Nuffield Hospitals. Fred works with specialist musculoskeletal radiologists and anaesthetists, and carries out more than 600 foot and ankle cases a year at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and in private practice.
Services include:
- Forefoot surgery, including minimally invasive surgery for the great toe and lesser toes, with a special interest in bunion surgery
- Sports surgery, including arthroscopic surgery to the ankle and great toe
- Surgery for the Achilles tendon and ankle arthritis
- Reconstructive surgery for ligament and tendon damage
- Ankle replacement and arthroscopic ankle fusion
